Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 1 stalk celery diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the beef stew meat, onion, carrots, celery and garlic in oil until the beef is browned.
  • Add the broth, tomato sauce and oregano; bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Stir in the pepper.
  • Gradually stir in the flour until smooth; simmer for 5 minutes longer.
