A glass of cherry juice a day may keep the doctor away, according to new research. In a study of over 6,000 adults, those who drank cherry juice daily were found to have lower rates of heart disease, arthritis, and memory decline than those who did not drink cherry juice.
Heat the sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is melted.
Add the pitted cherries and stir to combine. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the cherries are heated through. Remove from heat and stir in the cold water. Serve immediately.
